On August 1, 2006, attorney J. Brian Thomas joined Ford+Bergner LLP. Mr. Thomas is a 2001 graduate of Baylor University and a 2005 graduate of the Baylor University School of Law, where he concentrated in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate. During law school, Mr. Thomas was a member of the second place Mock Trial team in Baylor’s famous Practice Court program, and he served as an adjunct coach to Baylor’s undergraduate mock trial teams.
Prior joining Ford+Bergner, Mr. Thomas worked as an attorney for the Small Business Administration, where he investigated real estate transactions. In his new position at Ford+Bergner, Mr. Thomas will be working in estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters, and he will be working on probate and guardianship litigation matters.
Contemporaneously with Mr. Thomas joining the firm, we are sad to announce that T. Aaron Dobbs has left the firm as of September 1, 2006. While we are sad for Mr. Dobbs to be leaving the firm, we are pleased to announce the he has become a member of the Texas Legislative Council, where he will be responsible for drafting legislation and helping to shape the laws of the State of Texas. We appreciate Mr. Dobbs hard work for Ford+Bergner and our clients, and we congratulate him on this exciting opportunity.
