F+B recently represented an adult beneficiary of a series of trusts set up by his great-grandmother, who was the owner of a prominent Texas company. The trusts were set up to benefit generations of the family, but as happens in many families, a dispute arose as to the appropriate amount of distributions from the trust for one of the beneficiaries.
The case involved allegations that certain family members suffered from substance abuse issues and that other family members were expended inappropriate sums from the Trust. Ultimately, F+B achieved an agreement on behalf of its client that the Trustee would make certain distributions for the health and support of our client.
Trust litigation disputes can involve many different types of issues. Most of the cases involve financial issues as well as allegations that the trustee or a beneficiary has acted inappropriately. F+B has handled numerous trust litigation matters, representing both beneficiaries and also trustees of various trusts.
