A legal firestorm is unfolding around TV personality Wendy Williams, who is pushing back after learning that her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, filed a $250M lawsuit in her name — without her knowledge or consent.

“I had no idea,” Williams told TMZ in a recent interview. “He’s a money-grubber… It’s good to know that he’s doing such evil things — again. Because I’m divorced forever.”

Filed on June 17, Hunter’s sweeping lawsuit targets 48 defendants, including Williams’ court-appointed guardian Sabrina Morrissey, and Judge Lisa Sokoloff, who oversees her guardianship. The suit alleges constitutional violations and seeks a new guardian, unsealed case files, and financial compensation.

But according to Williams and her legal counsel, she wants no part of it.

“She absolutely didn’t [know about the lawsuit],” attorney Joe Tacopina told PEOPLE.
“He has no standing to add her name… and no authority from Wendy whatsoever.”

Hunter’s attorney claims Williams is not “legally aware” of the evidence behind the filing, but her legal team firmly rejects his involvement.

📌 Context: Williams has been under guardianship since 2022 and was diagnosed earlier this year with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. She’s recently spoken out about the conservatorship, saying:

“I feel like I am in prison… I do not have access to my money.”
